ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday felicitated the Muslim Ummah and the nation on the advent of Ramadan ul Mubarak.
On his Twitter handle, PM Shehbaz said the holy month of Ramadan taught them self-examination, sacrifices, and disciplined life.
While congratulating all, the prime minister prayed, “May Allah Almighty enable them to earn blessings of the holy month.”

In a separate press release shared by PM Office Media Wing, the prime minister urged the people to especially pray for the betterment of the Muslim Ummah and Pakistan. May Allah Almighty rid Pakistan of economic woes, poverty, and inflation, PM Shehbaz added.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif asked the people to pray for the prosperity and progress of Pakistan and the elimination of terrorism.
He said that Ramadan ul Mubarak was a month of blessings and appealed for prayers for the collective betterment of humanity and protection from calamities.
Ramadan moon sighted in Pakistan
Earlier, the central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee announced that the Ramadan moon had been sighted across the country, local media reported on Wednesday.
Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad chaired the committee meeting at the Auqaf Hall, Peshawar. The chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, announced the announcement at a press conference in Peshawar.
