WASHINGTON: Apple Inc’s music service was facing problems, the iPhone-maker said late Monday on its status page while iPhone users reported problems with various other companies’ services.

According to the outage tracking website Downdetector.com, services also including the support service and Apple store were down for thousands. More than 3,300 users reported problems with streaming Apple Music at the outage’s peak, while nearly 2,200 reported issues with App Store in the United States.

Apple’s status page indicated that Apple Music Radio, Apple Music, and iTunes Match faced an ongoing “outage.” The status page showed that iPhone users were reportedly encountering problems with Apple News.

Apple didn’t immediately respond to the Reuters request for comment regarding the condition of the outage and whether other services were impacted, as indicated by Downdetector.

Downdetector tracks outages by collating status reports from many sources, including user-submitted mistakes on its platform. The outage may be affecting a more significant number of iPhone users.
