RAWALPINDI: Funeral prayers of Lance Naik Shoaib Ali Shaheed, 25, a resident of Parachinar, district Kurram and Sepoy Rafi Ullah Shaheed, 22, a resident of Lakki Marwat, who embraced shahadat during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Zarmilan in South Waziristan district, were initially offered in Wana and later at their respective native towns. Both shaheeds were laid to rest with full military honours, said a press release issued by the ISPR.
A large number of military officers, soldiers including civil officials, public and relatives of the martyred soldiers attended the funeral prayers.
“The armed forces of Pakistan stand determined to eliminate the scourge of terrorism at any cost. Such sacrifices only strengthen our resolve,” the ISPR said.
