In a press conference in Islamabad, the ulema called for strict punishment for those who stormed state institutions during the violent protest after ex-prime minister Imran Khan’s arrest in the South Asian country. They said “If we want to prevent such incidents in the future, then we will have to take strong measures and steps. If these culprits are not punished, then the entire nation will be on stake,”.

The group of Ulema said, “You may have a difference of opinion with someone, but not with the residence of the corps commander”.

Violent protest demonstrations erupted in several parts of Pakistan soon following former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s arrest in Islamabad.
