ISLAMABAD: Film enthusiasts across Pakistan are exploring European cinema at the 2nd European Film Festival, which has started today at the Pakistan National Council of Arts, Islamabad. The festival will take place in five major cities nationwide, including Gilgit, Multan, Peshawar, and Quetta, from June 2 to June 24.
The festival will provide a unique opportunity for audiences to explore the rich and diverse world of EU cinema and get a sight into the culture that shapes present EU societies.
The EU Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr Riina Kionka said that the festival will show EU films to the people of Pakistan and they want to promote film as a medium. She said that panel discussions will be held during the festival. She hoped that the event will give a chance to audiences in Pakistan to know about EU cinema.
