Pakistan’s Vibrant Culture, Tourism & Sports Showcased at Lyon’s Fêtes Consulaire

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s vibrant culture, tourism, and sports were showcased at Lyon’s Fêtes Consulaire on Monday.

Around 46 countries participated in the event, and Visitors enjoyed traditional Pakistani food, music, and cultural performances. Mayor of Lyon, Grégory Doucet, visited the Pakistani pavilion and also met Pakistani Ambassador.

A large number of foreigners also visited the Pakistani Pavilion and played the national game of hockey. A standee at the pavilion’s entrance showcasing the famous truck art of Pakistan was a major source of attraction for visitors. Decoration items made with truck art, Pakistani cuisines, and the Henna application grabbed the audience.

Pakistani Ambassador Attends Gathering

Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad also attended the gathering with the Pakistani community in Lyon. He said that ensuring the community’s welfare and providing the best consular services was a key objective of the Embassy. He said that the effective representation of Pakistan was a collective endeavor, and every Pakistani abroad is the country’s Ambassador.
