KARACHI: The Defence Housing Authority (DHA) on Monday advised its residents to take precautionary measures as the severe cyclonic storm ‘Biparjoy’ moves closer to the provincial capital.
In a tweet, while warning citizens about the escalating threat, the DHA advised them to prepare for any emergency. The administration shared a list of safety measures and urged the DHA residents to follow the mentioned steps.
DHA Karachi official said, “We advise our residents to prepare for the Severe Cyclonic Storm (SCS).”
They further recommended securing the basement entrance and windows to prevent stormwater from damaging the houses and contacting the helpline 1092 in an emergency.

The National Disaster Management Authority of Pakistan said Biparjoy is now an extremely severe cyclonic storm. The storm is getting intense and may target Pakistani shores by June 15.
