Crown Prince Camel Festival to Be Held in Saudi Arabia on August 1

RIYADH: Under the patronage of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi Camel Federation will organize the Crown Prince Camel Festival on 1 August 2023 in Taif Camel Square.

The winners of the race would receive 56.255 million Saudi Riyals, according to the federation.

A large number of local and international camel owners will participate in the festival, which consists of over 589 rounds.

The festival will commence with a preliminary race consisting of 350 rounds, which would be held between 1 and 12 August and would be the opening event at the event.

Crown Prince Festival at a glance

Since the first festival in 2018, it has attracted a large number of camel enthusiasts from across the world. It strives to preserve and promote the kingdom’s camel history and has generated revenues through the different events that support the country;s heritage and help it go forward.

It also focuses on the culture surrounding camels in the Kngdom, and other Arab and Islamic traditions.
