ISLAMABAD: The Federal Flood Commission said on Sunday that major rivers of Pakistan, including Indus, Chenab, Ravi, and Kabul, are flowing in low flood with the surging trend at Kalabagh-Chashma, Chashma-Taunsa, Marala-Khanki and Warsak-Nowshera reaches respectively.
As per the daily FFC report, flash flooding of moderate to heavy intensity is likely in the Nullahs of Balochistan (Sibbi, Makran, Loralai, Kalat, and Nasirabad divisions), including hill torrents of Dera Ghazi Khan division during the next twenty-four hours.
Moderate to Strong Currents Penetrate Pakistan
Moderate to strong currents from the Arabian Sea and the bay of Bengal are penetrating into the lower half of the country up to seven thousand feet.
For the next twenty-four hours, Flood Forecasting Division Lahore has forecasted scattered widespread wind thunderstorms and rain of moderate to heavy intensity with isolated heavy falls over South and Southeastern Sindh, including Punjab (Dera Ghazi Khan Division), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ( Dera Ismail Khan, Kohat, and Bannu Divisions) and Balochistan (Loralai, Kalat, Sibbi, Zhob, and Makran Nasirabad Divisions).
