Islamabad: Lieutenant General Alfonas Mais, Chief of the German Army, called on Pakistan Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir to discuss the regional security situation and defense cooperation, a military statement said.
Pakistan Army media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement said that during the meeting, which took place at Army Headquarters, matters of mutual interest, regional security situation, and defense cooperation came under discussion.
Both sides expressed the desire to further enhance bilateral cooperation in all areas.
German Army Chief acknowledged the achievements of the Pakistan Army in the war against terrorism and the country’s constant efforts for bringing peace to the region.
