WASHINGTON: Local officials have said that Police found no shooter and no one wounded after reports of a possible active shooter in the US Capitol complex following a “bad call,” US media reported on Wednesday.
According to Washington Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Hugh Carew “A phone call came in for an active shooter but it seems to be a bad call”.

After an emergency call about the presence of an active shooter in the US Capitol on Wednesday, the Capitol Police have asked the people to take ‘Shelter-In-Place’ as the probe continues. Police said, they continue to stay in contact with the people there.

In a statement via social media, the US Capitol Police said, “Our officials are searching in and around the buildings in answer to a concerning 911 call. Stay away from these area as we are still probing,”.

The Police, however, said that there are no confirmed news and reports of gunshots.
