VENICE: Tourists and locals react as UNESCO’s suggestion that Venice city be placed on the list of World Heritage in danger. The UN body said in its suggestion that the city risked “irreversible” damage because of challenge of climate change and mass tourism. UNESCO in its report said that the Italian authorities have failed to protect the historic city from environmental damage due to excessive tourism.
