Sheikh Abdul Mateen, General Secretary of All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that Kashmiris worldwide commemorate August 5th as “Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir.” This global observance aims to attract international attention to what they view as India’s oppressive actions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK). The intent is to demonstrate that India’s harsh actions, including brutality and molestation, cannot extinguish the resilient Kashmiri struggle, and that the steps taken on August 5th hold no efficacy.
