Khawaja Farooq Ahmad, the Opposition Leader in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Assembly highlighted the special session’s significance as a platform to voice their collective condemnation of the Indian’s actions on August 5, 2019.

“Kashmir’s integral connection to Pakistan resonates deeply within the hearts of Kashmiris settled both within Pakistan and across the globe,” Khawaja Farooq Ahmad asserted, emphasizing their unwavering unity. He underscored that it was India who initially approached the United Nations, and thus, the international community must heed the call to address the Kashmir dispute based on the United Nations resolutions.

“Kashmir’s right to self-determination remains our steadfast demand,” Khawaja Farooq Ahmad emphasized, echoing the sentiments of the Kashmiri people. The appeal to the United Nations, members of the Security Council, and nations worldwide is anchored in the pursuit of justice and adherence to the principles outlined in the United Nations resolutions.
