ISLAMABAD: The Cabinet Committee on Inter-Governmental Commercial Transactions (CCoIGCT) on Monday reviewed the progress of the negotiation committee for the development of the Bulk and General Cargo Terminal at East Wharf, Karachi Port.
The meeting was chaired by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, in which the negotiations between Port Trust (KPT) and AD Ports UAE on the commercial agreement were discussed, the finance ministry said in a statement.
Committee Issues Instructions for Negotiations
The cabinet committee instructed the negotiations committee to re-engage with AD Ports UAE to improve the terms offered by it.
The meeting was also attended by Syed Faisal Ali Subzwari, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs; Syed Naveed Qamar, Federal Minister for Commerce; Khurram Dastgir Khan, Federal Minister for Power; Musaddik Masood Malik, Minister of State for Petroleum; Tariq Bajwa, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Finance, Tariq Mehmood Pasha, SAPM on Revenue, Secretaries Maritime Affairs, Law and Justice, and other senior officers.
