Pakistan’s PM Resolves to Strengthen Bilateral Ties with UAE

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar expressed his keen interest in boosting bilateral cooperation with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), particularly in the areas of trade, investment, and energy.

He said this during a meeting with UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi, who called on Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar at Prime Minister House.

Prime Minister Kakar extended his gratitude for the UAE’s consistent support in maintaining Pakistan’s economic and financial stability. He acknowledged the UAE’s goodwill and its role in fostering strong ties between the two nations.

Ambassador Al-Zaabi conveyed the regards of the UAE leadership to the prime minister, commending his assumption of office. The meeting highlighted the significance of mutual respect and diplomatic relations.

Highlighting the historical and deeply rooted fraternal bonds between Pakistan and the UAE, Prime Minister Kakar emphasized the importance of maintaining and further nurturing these connections.

He also took the opportunity to wish the UAE success in its upcoming role as the host of the COP28 Summit later this year, showcasing his interest in regional and global affairs.

Pakistani Diaspora in UAE

Recognizing the valuable role of the Pakistani diaspora residing in the UAE, Prime Minister Kakar sought continuous support from the UAE government to ensure the well-being and success of this community.

The meeting between Prime Minister Kakar and Ambassador Al-Zaabi underscores the commitment to fostering cooperation, bilateral relations, and shared prosperity between Pakistan and the UAE.
