ISLAMABAD: An accountability court in Islamabad has summoned Asif Ali Zardari, the Co-Chairman of the PPP, and several others to attend a court hearing regarding the Park Lane reference.

The hearing for the reference, involving the former president Asif Ali Zardari and others, was presided over by Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir.

At the onset of the proceedings, Defence Counsel Arshad Tabraiz argued that, at the time of the agreement, Asif Zardari was not the director of Park Lane. The court acknowledged this point and stated that notices were being issued to the respondents, with further case details to be presented later.

Subsequently, the court issued notices to Asif Ali Zardari and 18 other accused individuals, instructing them to appear in court. The other accused individuals in the case include Muhammad Iqbal, Younas Qidwai, Iqbal Khan Noori, Hussain Lawai, Abdul Ghani Majeed, Khawaja Anwar Majeed, and M. Farooq Abdullah.

The accountability court, after issuing notices to all the accused parties, decided to adjourn the hearing of the reference until December 20.
