RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Accountability Court on Wednesday extended the interim bail of Bushra Bibi, the wife of former prime minister Imran Khan, in the Al-Qadir Trust case.

The judge of the Accountability Court of Rawalpindi, Muhammad Bashir, heard the case at Adiala Jail.

The court granted an extension to Bushra Bibi’s interim bail until December 13 and scheduled the next hearing for final arguments on her bail application.

Prior to this development, both the PTI founder and his wife, Bushra Bibi, had submitted a plea for the re-registration of the Al-Qadir University Trust.

According to the details, the plea was filed in the Islamabad High Court by Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, and the executive director of Al-Qadir Trust.

The plea highlighted the need to declare the unnecessary delay by the Labor and Industry Directorate as illegal and sought to prevent authorities from creating obstacles in the activities of Al-Qadir University.

The Al-Qadir University Trust was initially registered under the Trust Act of 1982, but its status was suspended after the Trust Act of 2020 came into effect. The plea informed the court that an application for re-registration was submitted on February 22, but a proper response had not been received.
