MIRPUR: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq on Thursday said that accountability was imperative for ensuring good governance, meritocracy, and the rule of law. He was addressing an extraordinary meeting held at the DC Office in Bhimber Town.
He reiterated his commitment to utilizing every penny collected in taxes for the welfare of the masses, particularly focusing on the underprivileged and weaker segments of society.
The meeting, attended by top government officials, including Deputy Commissioner Mirza Arshad Mahmood Jaral and senior officials of AJK’s nation-building institutions, discussed administrative and financial matters concerning the University of Bhimber.
Prime Minister Haq stressed the importance of the University of Bhimber becoming an exemplary institution attracting students not only from AJK but also from across Pakistan. He highlighted that providing quality education and healthcare facilities to citizens was a top priority for his government.
Haq urged university authorities to collaborate effectively to ensure the institution becomes a hub for academic excellence and learning.
Additionally, Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq expressed his condolences over the passing of Niaz Pasha Jadoon, Chief Editor and Publisher of Shamal Group of Newspapers. He praised Jadoon’s journalistic contributions and extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family.
