MUMBAI: Senior Indian actor Ashish Vidyarthi married fashion entrepreneur Rupali Barua, again at 60, in Kolkata on Thursday.
Ashish Vidyarthi, an established actor best known for playing Devraj Khatri in the 2000 thriller “Bichhoo”, reportedly wed for the second time in a private ceremony yesterday. In the Kolkata club, he registered his marriage to Barua, and various images from the intimate occasion appeared on social media.
Speaking about his second marriage, Vidyarthi, 60, told a local newspaper that, “Being married to Rupali is a beautiful feeling at this point of my life. We had a court wedding in the morning and a get-together in the evening”.
His wife, Barua, 50, is an entrepreneur from the Indian state of Assam’s city of Guwahati. In Kolkata, she has a high-end clothing boutique. According to Barua, she and Vidyarthi first met a while back and agreed to further their relationship. She gushed over her now-husband, saying, “He is a beautiful human being and a great soul to be with.”
Ashish Vidyarthi was earlier married to Rajoshi Barua, daughter of veteran actor Shakuntala Barua. Together, they had a boy named Arth.
