For Islamabad and Murree: Advisory Issued Amid Rains in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Several regions across the country experienced heavy and moderate rainfall, with more anticipated over the next two days, according to the Met Office.

It added that some areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Islamabad, upper and southern Punjab, northern Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan are likely to receive rain.

The Met Office has issued warnings of potential road closures in Murree, Galiyat, Naran, Kaghan, Dir, Swat, and other northern areas due to heavy rain and snowfall in the areas.

Residents are advised to refrain from unnecessary travel as landslides are also a possibility in these regions.

Earlier, Chief Meteorologist at Pakistan Meteorological Department Dr Sardar Sarfaraz said that a fresh spell of rain, and snow is expected across Pakistan from Feb 25 where Karachi and Balochistan will also witness light showers along with thunderstorms.
