Afghanistan: Global Conference on Climate Change Held in Jalalabad

JALALABAD: The Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs of the interim government of Afghanistan, Mawlavi Abdul Kabir has criticized the previous government of Ashraf Ghani for its failure to bring development in the war hit country. He was addressing at the International Conference on Climate Change (ICCC), at Nangarhar University. The international conference has been organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and hosted by Nangarhar University, in Jalalabad, local media reported. He alleged the previous governments for not paying attention in implementing development projects in Afghanistan.

He said that billions of dollars poured into Afghanistan but the past governments just focused on the construction of those roads that facilitated the movement of the foreign troops.

As per media reports, it is expected that local and foreign scientists’ articles will also be presented during the conference.
