This year’s forum is themed Africa for Africa – Building Energy for the Just Transition. Immense renewable energy and natural gas resources were the areas that were majorly highlighted, owing to the potential to alleviate the energy crisis which has affected some of the continent’s biggest economies. The current global momentum on green hydrogen was not an absent factor at the forum, as a concerted race to save the planet from the impacts of energy-borne global warming continues to gain momentum. Energy players have described the technology as a game changer and a viable option for transforming Africa’s energy sector.
