Ahsan Iqbal for Enhanced Trade to Strengthen Pak-Saudi Relations

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Planning Ahsan Iqbal has called for aligning Pakistan-Saudi relations with modern realities through enhanced trade.

In a meeting with Saudi Investment Minister Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih in Islamabad on Friday, Ahsan Iqbal highlighted the unique and resilient nature of Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations, which have consistently withstood the test of time.

He emphasized that strengthening the political relationship between the two nations hinges on robust economic cooperation. Noting that trade between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia reached $4.6 billion in 2022, Iqbal expressed Pakistan’s commitment to increase this figure by working closely with the current Saudi leadership.

The Minister also mentioned that boosting agricultural productivity is a key focus for the government. During the discussions, both parties explored various areas for enhancing bilateral trade.
