ISLAMABAD: An AI-powered app in the museum is allowing people to “talk to masterpieces” most importantly the famous Mona Lisa.
AskMona is one of many AI programmes exhibiting at a global summit in Paris’ Grand Palais, which brought together government and business leaders, start-ups, and scientists to discuss the economic and social challenges of AI along with opportunities in different sectors, according to MSN.
At the recent Paris AI Summit, an AI-powered representation of the Mona Lisa was showcased, allowing visitors to interact with her.
When asked about her lack of eyebrows, she responded, “In my time, it was fashionable for women to pluck their eyebrows. Also, over the centuries, restoration efforts have faded my eyebrows,” responded the painting of Mona Lisa.
AI summit
World leaders were set to hold formal talks in Paris on Tuesday on artificial intelligence (AI), seeking elusive common ground on a technology subject to a global race for promised economic benefits, according to AFP.
Hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the gathering comes hours after Elon Musk reportedly put in a bid for star developer OpenAI, underscoring AI’s potential to gather power into a single pair of hands.
Attempts to reach global agreement may also frustrate major powers such as the United States and China, which have their geopolitical tech priorities.
