MIRPUR: Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq called upon international human rights organizations to take effective action regarding the deteriorating political and human rights conditions in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The world should play its rightful role in preventing the bloodshed of innocent Kashmiris, said AJK Prime Minister in a statement released on Tuesday.
Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq expressed that the global community must abandon its policy of indifference towards the struggles of the Kashmiri people and should actively contribute to peacefully resolving the longstanding dispute according to the wishes and aspirations of the Kashmiri population.
He stressed the need for the international community to recognize the continuous violations of human rights committed by Indian occupying forces, as well as the political and economic exploitation of the Kashmiri people by the Indian government.
While commending the unparalleled sacrifices made by the people of Kashmir, he noted that despite India’s extensive use of oppression and suppression, it had failed to break the resilient spirit of the Kashmiris. To achieve a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir dispute, he underlined the importance of creating a comprehensive plan to exert political and diplomatic pressure on India.
He recalled that the former Prime Minister of India himself brought the Kashmir issue to the United Nations. Asserting the right to self-determination as an inherent and non-negotiable right of the Kashmiri people, he reiterated that Kashmiris had made extraordinary sacrifices to attain their desired objective, and the noble sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would never be in vain.
He further stated that Kashmiris had long ago decided to align their political future with Pakistan and that accession to Pakistan was the singular agenda of the Kashmiri people. In pursuit of this objective, he emphasized that the struggle was ongoing on all fronts.
