LONDON: Abdul Raziq Sajid, Chairman of Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust London, has said that the innocent Palestinian people have been facing bloodshed and cruelties at the hands of Israel for more than seven decades.

Despite several ceasefires between Palestine and Israel, the suffering of innocent Palestinians could not cease. There is a need to raise voice in the United Nations (UN) for a sustainable solution to the problem, Sajid said in a news conference in London on Tuesday.

Israel, Palestine Land of Prophets

He said that the region of Palestine and Israel is the land of the prophets and is sacred for all three Abrahamic religions; therefore, it was the responsibility of the international community to come forward and put an end to casualties on both sides.

Terming the ongoing situation disappointing, Sajid said that more than 3,000 innocent Palestinian people have been martyred, including 500 children, in relentless Israeli airstrikes. Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust is trying its best to help the displaced people in Gaza.

Sajid said that wars have always proved to be disastrous, which affects women and children more; however, he expressed hope that the British government, Red Cross, and other aid groups would assist them in aid deliveries in war-hit areas.
