BALAIDOS: A late goal from Julian Alvarez earned Atletico Madrid a dramatic 1-0 victory at Celta de Vigo on Thursday to lift the team to 3rd position in the LaLiga standings.
Atletico also avoided a second straight draw to move up to fifteen points, one clear of Villarreal and two behind Real Madrid, who they host on Sunday.

Alvarez struck in the final minute of regular time with a close-range end from a pinpoint cross by Antoine Griezmann to register his 2nd goal of the season.
Alvarez said that it was a very significant win on a very difficult situation. He said that they found themselves better in the match. He maintained that obviously, the goal helped his confidence but the important thing was to help the team.
Celta keeper Vicente Guaita said that the team played a good game and they controlled possession. He said that Julian was cleverer than them and they beat them.
