Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan Vows to Enhance Cultural Ties

ISLAMABAD: The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin has emphasized on the importance of developing cooperation in the field of culture, aiming to increase mutual understanding between the two sides, and resulting in favourable strengthening ties between two nations across various fields.

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan expressed these remarks during a meeting held with the Secretary of National Heritage and Culture Division of Pakistan, Hassan Nasir Jamy. He also congratulating the Secretary of National Heritage and Culture Division of Pakistan on his appointment and wishing him success in his new role.

Ambassador Y. Kistafin emphasized especially on the importance of developing cooperation in the field of culture, aiming to increase mutual understanding between our societies, and resulting in favourable strengthening relations between two countries across various sectors.

The envoy briefed on current cultural initiatives, notably highlighting the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of culture inked during the 12th meeting of the Kazakh-Pakistani Intergovernmental Commission in Astana on December 20-21, 2023.

  1. Kistafin also extended invitations to participate in events hosted during Kazakhstan’s chairmanship in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the fifth World Nomad Games.

In reply, Secretary Hasan Nasir Jamy expressed keen interest in the development of cooperation and practical acts on the Memorandum inked in December 2023, while recommending to organize talks at the level of respective ministries of cultural and between organizations. Thanking for the invitations, H. Jamy has affirmed Pakistan’s active participation in upcoming events in Kazakhstan.
