Ambassadors of ECO Member States Call on Pakistan’s Prime Minister

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar received the resident Ambassadors of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Member States at the Prime Minister House on Monday and discussed matters of mutual interest.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the ECO for regional development.

He emphasized that the ECO member countries shared a common history and culture. Today, the region faces common challenges that should be dealt with in a way that creates opportunities for collective growth and prosperity.

In this regard, PM Kakar highlighted connectivity, energy, trade, and economic cooperation.

While stressing the importance of ECO, the Prime Minister said Pakistan was keen to further strengthen bilateral relations with each ECO member country.

The premier said that he looked forward to his meetings with the Heads of States of ECO Member nations on the sidelines of the 16th ECO Summit in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from 8 to 9 November 2023.

Ambassadors for Stronger Ties with Pakistan

The envoys reaffirmed their respective states’ desire to build stronger ties with Pakistan and also their collective commitment to the bloc’s vision and objectives.
