ANF Recovers 207 Kg Drugs in 15 Operations

ISLAMABAD: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) while conducting fifteen operations in different parts of the country, managed to recover 207 kilograms of drugs and apprehended eighteen accused, said an ANF Headquarters spokesperson on Tuesday.

He said that operations were conducted in the federal capital Islamabad, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Quetta, Peshawar, Dera Ismail Khan, Hyderabad and Karachi, and ANF seized 24.2-kilogram heroin, 3.6 kilograms of Ice, 151.7-kilogram charras, 7.2-kilogram opium and 20-kilogram intoxicated tablets. 6 cars were also impounded during operations.

He said that in an operation at Islamabad International Airport, thirty-nine drug-filled capsules were seized from a Qatar-bound passenger.

Operation in Faisalabad

In another operation conducted in Faisalabad, 48-kilogram of charras and 7.2-kilogram opium were seized from a vehicle. An accused was also arrested.

In an operation in Kuchlak, Quetta, eighty-kilogram charras hidden in a deserted area were recovered.

28 kilogram of heroin was seized from a Toyota Pick-Up intercepted in Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while an accused was also rounded up during the operation.

In an operation in Bareli Colony, Karachi, 20-kilogram drug filled-tablets were recovered from a house. An accused was also arrested during the operation.

Other operations were conducted in different parts, and ANF recovered drugs from the arrested accused.
