ANF Recovers 30 Kg Drugs in Six Operations Across Pakistan

RAWALPINDI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted six operations across Pakistan and managed to recover 30 kg of drugs and arrested six accused, said an ANF Headquarters spokesperson on Wednesday.

Notable among the seizures was the interception of 1.2 kg of hashish from a parcel bound for Lahore at the TCS office in Rawalpindi.

Additionally, 1,943 intoxicating tablets were uncovered in a shipment from Thailand at a courier office in Rawalpindi, while 85 capsules filled with ice were found on a passenger headed to Doha at Peshawar Airport.

Furthermore, two suspects detained on the Makran Coastal Highway in Hub were found in possession of 13 kg of heroin, 9 kg of hashish, and 980 grams of ice. In a separate operation, two women were apprehended near Tandlianwala Road in Faisalabad, with authorities seizing 1.5 kg of opium and 1.2 kg of hashish from their possession.

Finally, 2 kg of hashish was confiscated from an individual arrested in Jamshoro. Charges under the Anti-Narcotics Act have been filed against the arrested individuals, while investigations into their activities continue.   —APP
