RAWALPINDI: The Anti-narcotics Force (ANF) has seized 45.5 kg of drugs, 200 liters of liquid Ice drug, and 2400 intoxicated tablets and arrested six accused along with two Afghan nationals in a total of six operations conducted across the country, an ANF spokesman said on Monday.
He said that in Gwadar operation, the ANF recovered 30 kg of charras and 200 liters of liquid Ice drug concealed in a deserted area to smuggle abroad.
An ANF operation conducted near Al-Haram Town of Ring Road helped recover two ice-filled capsules and arrested two accused, residents of Khyber Agency. The smugglers of drugs were netted on the plantation of an accused who was arrested earlier.
In the third operation in Peshawar on G.T. Road, 2400 intoxicated tablets were recovered from the possession of two Afghani people. In the fourth operation, 1.5 kg Ice drug and five kg charras were recovered from Bara Khyber, a deserted area.
In the fifth operation, from the ‘Jarobi’ area in Khyber seven kg of charras was recovered. The spokesman said that in the sixth raid conducted in Peshawar near ‘Pishtakhara’ Chowk, two kg charras was recovered from a vehicle while an accused was also sent behind bars. Separate cases have been registered against the arrested accused while further investigations are under process.
