ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Narcotics Force Pakistan has seized 355.517 Kgs of drugs, and 5220 liters of Hydrochloric Acid worth US$ 7.367 Million internationally and arrested 23 persons including 1 foreigner in this connection.
The Force also impounded 5 vehicles in 31 counter-narcotics operations throughout the country. According to the details the seized drugs comprised 8.100 Kgs of Opium, 8.025 Kgs of Heroin, 267.829 Kgs of Hashish, 3.718 Kgs of Methamphetamine (Ice), 1.560 Kgs of Cocaine, 180 Ecstasy Tablets, 304480 Xanax Tablets, 0.090 Kgs Weed and 5220 liters of Hydrochloric Acid (HCL).
The ANF Punjab recovered 130.334 kgs of drugs in 6 operations while arresting 4 persons in drug smuggling and seized 2 vehicles. The seized drugs comprised of 0.900kgs of Opium, 2.072 kgs of Heroin, 126.344 kgs of Hashish, and 1.018 Kgs of Methamphetamine (Ice).
ANF KPK recovered 108.688 Kgs of drugs in 8 operations while 5 persons were arrested in drug trafficking and seized 1 vehicle. The seized drugs comprised of 1.103 Kgs of Heroin and 107.585 Kgs of Hashish.
Furthermore, The ANF Sindh recovered 70.015 Kgs of drugs in 4 operations while 5 persons were arrested in drug smuggling and seized 1 vehicle. The seized drugs comprised 3 Kg Hashish, 1.920 Kg Methamphetamine (Ice), 180 x Ecstasy Tablets (0.095 Kg), and 300000 x Xanax Tabs (65 kg).
ANF North recovered 46.480 Kg of drugs in 11 operations, arrested 9 persons in drug smuggling including 1 Foreigner, and seized 1 vehicle. The seized drugs comprised 7.200 Kg Opium, 4.850 Kg Heroin, 30.900 Kg Hashish, 0.780 Kgs Methamphetamine (Ice), 1.560 Kg Cocaine, 0.090 Kg Weed, and 4480 x Xanax Tabs (1.100 Kgs).
On the other hand, ANF Baluchistan recovered 5220 Liters of Hydrochloric Acid (HCL) in 2 operations in the general area of Baluchistan. All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 (Amended 2022) and further investigations are under process.
