RAWALPINDI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Tuesday seized 631 kg of drugs and arrested 12 individuals in 15 operations nationwide, announced an ANF spokesperson.
Significant seizures include 1 kg of heroin and 4.8 kg of Ice from a passenger at Islamabad Airport bound for Middle East, and 1 kg of Ice from another passenger at Sialkot Airport heading to Qatar.
Additionally, 69 heroin-filled capsules were discovered from a passenger en route to Sharjah at Islamabad Airport. Noteworthy recoveries also include 216 kg of hashish from an individual arrested at Dera Ismail Khan bypass and 448 grams of Ice from a Doha-bound passenger at Lahore Airport.
Substantial quantities of opium, hashish, and morphine were seized from various areas across the country. Cases have been filed against the arrested individuals under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and investigations have been initiated. —APP
