RAWALPINDI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted nine operations across the country, resulting in the seizure of 716 kg of drugs and the arrest of six individuals, according to an ANF Headquarters spokesman on Tuesday.
At Peshawar Airport, 745 grams of Ice were confiscated from a passenger bound for Doha. In Lahore, 200 grams of cocaine were intercepted from a parcel destined for Karachi at a cargo office. Significant drug hauls were made in Chaman, with 150 kg of heroin and 166 kg of morphine seized, as well as 110 kg of heroin and 52 kg of morphine from Yaro Pishin. Additionally, 100 kg of hashish were discovered in the RCD Road Lasbela area. In Pindi Bhattian, Hafizabad, 70 kg of hashish and 6.2 kg of opium were seized from two suspects. Near the Northern Bypass Karachi, 50.4 kg of hashish were confiscated from an accused individual. Around 30 kg of hashish were recovered from two suspects apprehended near Burhan Interchange Attock. Finally, 11 kg of hashish were retrieved from the Orakzai area.
Cases have been registered against the arrested individuals under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and further investigations are ongoing.
