Anti-Narcotic Force Seizes Huge Quantities of Drugs in Nationwide Crackdown

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Narcotic Force (ANF) on Monday seized a huge quantity of drugs during a countrywide crackdown against drug peddlers.

The force has seized 104 grams of heroin and 516 grams from the sandal of a passenger at Islamabad International Airport. The accused was leaving for Bahrain, a spokesman of ANF said.

In another operation, the force recovered 704 grams of hashish from the trolley bag of a passenger who was about to leave for the gulf country Qatar. The suspect is a resident of Hangu.

The ASF and ANF recovered 1200 narcotic pills from a person leaving for Manchester.

Anti-Narcotic Force conducts operation at Lahore airport

Similarly, an operation was also conducted at Lahore Airport, where the ASF and ANF recovered over 1 kilogram of ice from the luggage of a woman hailing from Narowal who was going to Bahrain.

The force also seized five kilograms of hashish from a woman traveling to Karachi from Quetta. In another operation, the officials seized over 97 kilograms of hashish and two kilograms of opium in Quetta.

The authorities recovered over four kilograms of hashish and suspicious content near Chaman Bypass.

Cases have been registered against the suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act. – APP
