SRINAGAR: On the occasion of the “World Day of Social Justice,” the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has strongly condemned the denial of social rights in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The APHC, based in Srinagar, highlighted the plight of the Kashmiri people and minorities, particularly Muslims in India, who have been systematically deprived of social justice.

The APHC reiterated the longstanding struggle of the Kashmiri people for their rights over the past seven decades. Emphasizing a peaceful pursuit of justice, the APHC called for the implementation of United Nations Security Council resolutions passed in 1949, underscoring the need for international intervention.

Despite claims of normalcy by the Indian government, Kashmiri youth continue to express the harsh reality on the ground, citing ongoing military and police sieges and the erosion of basic rights since August 2019. The APHC urged UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to intervene urgently to address the Kashmir dispute and prevent potential escalation, given the involvement of nuclear states in the region.

This statement reflects the persistent struggle for social justice and political resolution in the region, with Kashmiri voices advocating for their rights and seeking international attention to their cause.
