SRINAGAR: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has strongly criticized the Narendra Modi-led Indian government for what it calls deceptive and nefarious tactics aimed at misguiding the international community regarding the dire situation prevailing in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, the APHC spokesman, said in a statement, condemning the Modi regime for violating the fundamental rights of the people in the occupied territory. He accused the government of trying to cover up its atrocities by blaming Pakistan and the peaceful, freedom-loving leadership of the Kashmiris.
Minhas emphasized the prolonged suffering endured by the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir under Indian military occupation for over seven decades, enduring continuous oppression and violence.
The APHC dismissed the so-called Indian parliamentary elections in IIOJK as a mere political facade designed to deceive both the people and the international community, perpetuating injustice, suffering, military oppression, and corruption.
The APHC stressed that it is the moral duty of justice-loving individuals worldwide to raise their voices for the oppressed Kashmiris. It called on the international community to heed the cries of the beleaguered Kashmiris and abandon double standards, allowing them to exercise their right to self-determination.
The spokesman reiterated the APHC’s demand for the United Nations to fulfill its commitments regarding the resolution of the Kashmir dispute and called for Modi and his allies to be held accountable for brutally suppressing the Kashmiris.
Despite the challenges, the APHC expressed hope that the Kashmiri people will one day achieve their goal of joining Pakistan, fulfilling their longstanding aspiration.
