SRINAGAR: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has called on the international community to take effective measures for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions.
In a statement, the APHC spokesperson said that the Narendra Modi-led Indian government has deprived the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) of their fundamental rights, as reported by KMS.
Meanwhile, for the second consecutive day, Indian security forces conducted extensive cordon and search operations in the Poonch and Rajouri districts, causing significant distress to the local population.
The search operations, marked by the involvement of Indian Army, paramilitary, and police personnel, were initiated following an attack in the Surankote area of Poonch, resulting in the killing of five soldiers and injuries to several others.
In the Nowpora Wagoora area of Baramulla district, residents staged a protest against the occupation authorities’ anti-people policies. The demonstrators, carrying empty pots and vessels, expressed their frustration over the authorities’ failure to provide drinking water to the residents.
