ISLAMABAD: The new launched iPhone 16 has sparked widespread debates on social media, with Apple fans defending the tech giant’s recent release amid criticism, particularly from Samsung customers.
As likely, the much-anticipated flagship model from the Cupertino-based firm has divided public opinions. Samsung wasted no time in mocking Apple new product. A post from Samsung’s official account on X, titled “Still waiting,” was widely seen as a mock at Apple for not introducing a folding iPhone.
Apple Fans Vs Samsung
This set off a debate on social media, with many Android users strongly criticizing the iPhone 16 for lacking innovation compared to its ancestors. Some social media users made fun at the iPhone 16, saying that it looks about identical to the iPhone 11 Pro Max. Others also joked about the iPhone’s battery life, ironically adding, “Another iPhone that needs charging following sending some Snapchat streaks.”
However, Apple followers were quick to come to defend it. Many lauded the iPhone 16’s camera quality, with one user stating, “At least Apple knows how to develop cameras.” Others ridiculed phones, calling them a “ploy,” while some criticized Samsung’s camera quality, remarking, “We purchase Apple because it doesn’t take cartoon-like pictures.”
In Pakistan, the iPhone 16 series is expected to remain a luxury item, with the expected price set to soar to over Rs1 million in its first week following its release.
