HINGTON:  As anticipation builds around Apple’s new suite of AI tools, known as Apple Intelligence, a recent report hints that these advanced features might come with a price tag. Neil Shah, a partner at Counterpoint Research, revealed to CNBC that the company is unlikely to offer these cutting-edge AI features for free. Instead, users may need to pay between $10 and $20 per month for access to the most sophisticated functionalities. Although Shah did not specify which features would be included in the paid tier, it is speculated that enhancements like an upgraded Siri or potential integration with ChatGPT could be among them. There is also speculation that these AI features could be bundled into a premium version of the Apple One subscription, which might offer additional perks such as extra iCloud storage and access to Apple TV+ and Apple Music.  This approach would mirror similar offerings from other tech giants, like Google’s AI Premium plan, which combines advanced AI tools with cloud storage and other services. Shah also suggested that Apple Intelligence could deepen user loyalty to the Apple ecosystem by providing highly personalized experiences that would be difficult to replicate on other platforms.
