ISLAMABAD: Good news for university students as the Parliamentary Secretary for Education Zeb Jaffar on Thursday informed the National Assembly that one hundred smart classrooms in the universities will be functional by the end of 2022.
Zeb Jaffar told the Lower House of the Parliament that the government has taken several steps to ensure digital literacy across the country.
The Parliamentary Secretary for Education said the Higher Education Commission (HEC) has launched the Digital Learning and Skill Enrichment Initiative to provide an opportunity to the students and faculty members of all the private and public sector universities to apply online and get unlimited access to over 1,200 courses.
While supporting the mandate to develop e-Academia, she said the Higher Education Commission (HEC) has established the national video conferencing network for in sector of higher education.
Regarding Microsoft Teams, she stated that the HEC had made the platform available for 80 thousand of faculty and one million students across the country.
