According to the Arab News, their joint statement also mentioned that the right to self-defense does not justify breaching law and neglecting rights of Palestinians people.

The foreign ministers also denounced forced displacement and collective punishment in Gaza, the statement maintained.

The foreign ministers statement added, “We emphasize that the right to self-defense … does not justify blatant violations of global law and global humanitarian law, or the deliberate neglect of the legal rights of Palestinians,”.

The statement further said that the foreign ministers stressed the significance of the international community, especially the UNSC, assuming its duties to seek peace in the Middle East. This includes speedy, honest, and collective efforts to resolve the conflict and also implement a two-state solution based on relevant United Nations resolutions, ensuring the establishment of a sovereign and an independent Palestinian state with contiguous territory, viable for life, along the lines of pre-June 4, 1967, borders with its capital in East Jerusalem.
