CAIRO: The General Secretariat of the Arab Parliament has announced that the parliament will elect its president, deputy presidents, and heads and deputies of the permanent committees next Saturday, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
The meeting will mark the start of the first session of the fourth legislative term. The session will include the election of the president of the Arab Parliament, deputy presidents, and heads and deputies of the permanent committees. The meeting will be held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo.
The General Secretariat of the Arab Parliament in a statement said d that the newly formed parliament is expected to hold its first session on October 27, to discuss developments in the region and review reports of the permanent committees.
