Arms Smuggling Foiled

RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi police successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle a significant quantity of weapons and apprehended two individuals during an operation conducted on Friday.

The Westridge police, in a strategic move, intercepted a private vehicle suspected of transporting illegal arms. The apprehended suspects were identified as Bahadur Khan and Rashid Shah.

The diligent operation led to the discovery of a substantial cache of arms, including more than 35 pistols and thousands of bullets.

The Chief Police Officer (CPO) Khalid Hamdani commended the Westridge police for their proactive efforts in curbing illegal activities. A case has been registered against the suspects, and a thorough investigation is currently in progress.
