Army Chief Says No One Allowed to Create Anarchy in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir has categorically said that no one will be allowed to spread anarchy in the country.

“The Pakistan Army is struggling to eliminate anarchy in the land. Whoever doesn’t adhere to the Shariah and the Constitution, we don’t consider them Pakistanis,” the army chief said while addressing the National Convention of Scholars on Thursday.

He said, “anarchy is spread through social media.”   General Asmir Munir said that “people are advised to stage protests but stay peaceful”.

He noted that for more than 40 years, Pakistan has hosted millions of Afghans and we are trying to convince them to refrain from opposing their neighbor, brotherly Islamic country and longtime friend for the sake of Fitna al-Khawarij.

The army chief acknowledged the sacrifices rendered by the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the war against terrorism, stating that the army stands with their Pashtun brothers.

He added that criminals and smuggling mafias are providing patronage to terrorism. In his remarks about the respect and finality of the Prophethood, General Syed Asim Munir stated that no one can dare disrespect the Holy Prophet Peace Be Upon Him.

The Army Chief expressed the resolve to give a befitting response if anyone tries to create unrest and chaos in Pakistan. He said no power in the world can harm Pakistan because this country has been created to sustain.

He said millions of Asim Munirs, politicians and scholars would be sacrificed for Pakistan because the country is more important than us. If you want to know the importance of the state, ask Iraq, Syria and Libya.

The army chief urged scholars and clerics to promote unity and tolerance in society instead of extremism or discrimination, saying that they should “bring back moderation in the society and reject corruption in the world”.

He said the Western culture and way of life are not our ideals and we should be proud of our own civilization.

He noted those who claimed that they buried the two-nation theory in the Bay of Bengal, where are they now? The Kashmir issue is an unfinished agenda of the partition of India and Pakistan.”

Regarding Palestine, he said our hearts bleed after seeing atrocities in Palestine. He said it is a lesson from the situation in Palestine that we will have to protect ourselves and make our country stronger.
