Asian Boxing Champion Muhammad Shoaib Ready for Next Int’l Fight

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s promising boxer, the Asian champion Muhammad Shoaib is ready to face the Thai boxer Anoncha Phuangkaew on 3rd March in WBC Asia Title -Lightweight in Bangkok, Thailand.

Muhammad Shoaib emerged on the international level in November 2022, when he won the Asian Boxing Federation (ABF) Lightweight Championship after defeating Indonesia’s Hendrik Barongsay in a title fight. It was his third consecutive victory in the event.

The star boxer has the great struggle behind his spree of victories as he has been active in the game for 14 years. He follows a day-long tough training routine. “In morning, I run for 15km daily. In evenings, I practice in the ring with other boxers where I use the punching bag, sand bag, skipping rope, and regular gym,” he told the WorldEcho.com.

Champion’s fights

Shoaib has played four professional fights in which he remained undefeated. In amature game, he played and won over 120 fights across the country. The boxer grabbed 5 gold medals in as many All Pakistan Inter University Tournaments, representing the University of Central Punjab.

Shoaib runs a club and academy in Tarnol, Islamabad, where he is training about 80 budding boxers. Due to his excellent training skills, he produced many champions including, Islamabad Champion, Punjab Champion, and All Pakistan Boxing Champion.

The talented boxer is aiming to become the World Champion boxer, and if he is supported by the government and relevant organizations, he is the full potential to serve Pakistan on international level.
