Asian Champions Trophy: China Beat Pakistan to Advance in Final

HULUNBUIR CITY:  In a thrilling semi-final match at the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy, China has secured their spot in the final after a dramatic penalty shootout against Pakistan at the Moqi Hockey Training Base in Hulunbuir City, China.

The clash remained tense and closely contested throughout, with both sides showcasing their skills as well as determination.

Despite their efforts, Pakistani side struggled to convert their chances during the shootout, eventually losing to China following missing four consecutive penalties. This allowed Chinese to advance with a 2-0 win in shootout, much to the disappointment of Pakistani and their supporters.

The regular time of the clash saw an intense clash between the two teams, each scoring one goal to keep the contest alive. Pakistan and China played with great pace as well as aggression, with both teams’ defences standing stable.

The first goal came from China side in second quarter of the clash while Pakistan’s Ahmed Nadeem found the back of the net in the third quarter of the match, ensuring the game went into the decisive penalty shootout.

China will face either India or South Korea, who will lock horns in the second semi-final.  Pakistan will also play a third-place match.
