Asif Ali Zardari Stresses Need to Ensure Human Rights, Security

ISLAMABAD: Former President of Pakistan and Co-Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP), Asif Ali Zardari in his message on International Human Rights Day said that human rights are the first step towards human freedom.

Asif Zardari said that the founder of PPPP and former Prime Minister of Pakistan titled as Shaheed Quaid-e-Awam, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto guaranteed human rights through the 1973 constitution and former Prime Minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was a champion of human rights.

Struggle for Human Rights

Asif Ali Zardari said that the leadership and workers of the Pakistan Peoples Party have always struggled for many decades in order to restore human rights in Pakistan. Whenever the government of the Pakistan Peoples Party came to power, it always ensured for provision of human rights.

Former President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari on the matter of human rights violation in Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K) has said that the violation of human rights has become a norm in IIOJ&K. The world should raise its voice against the violation of human rights in Occupied Kashmir. 

The Pakistan Peoples Party will continue to advocate for the provision of human rights, in IIOJ&K, especially in the wake of the revocation of the special status of occupied Kashmir valley by India.
